NATIONAL SUMMARY
As a storm system tracks out of the Midwest and into the
Northeast, accumulating snow will continue from New York and
Pennsylvania eastward. The highest totals are expected in
the higher terrain of New York and New England, where over 6
inches of snow is likely. Boston is likely to have at least
a few inches of snow, with a slushy inch or so possible in
New York as well. Farther west, a large storm system will
continue spreading heavy snow to the Sierra and Cascades,
with rain in the forecast for the entire coast. Snow will
also expand toward inland areas, including the central and
northern Rockies. A few rain or snow showers may also extend
into the northern Plains.
