NATIONAL SUMMARY
Flash flooding from persistent downpours will be a risk from
central Tennessee into northern and central Georgia
tomorrow. Rain will be lighter but can still lead to slower
travel and reduced visibility in much of southern Georgia,
South Carolina and southwestern North Carolina. Unusually
rough surf and rip currents are expected along the coasts of
North Carolina and South Carolina. Elsewhere, a thunderstorm
or two will rumble through far South Texas. Thunderstorms
will become more numerous in the afternoon in South Florida.
Just a few spotty thunderstorms are likely from eastern
North Dakota southeastward into western Illinois. Afternoon
thunderstorms will begin to push northward into southern
Arizona. A few showers will dampen western Washington and
northwestern Oregon.
