The Nation's Weather for Tuesday, December 3, 2024
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
A lake-effect snow event will continue in the Great Lakes
tomorrow. Heavy snow squalls can lead to whiteout conditions
and rapid-accumulation snowfall disrupting travel.
Meanwhile, a storm will spread snow across the northern
Midwest. It will be brisk as a noticeable breeze ushers in
unseasonable cold air. In the Southeast, sunshine will be
abundant and it will feel more like December with daily high
temperatures 10-15 degrees Fahrenheit below the historical
average. It will be mainly dry outside of the lake-effect
snow, except in South Texas where there can be a few
thunderstorms. In the West, it will be primarily sunny,
except in the California valleys, western Washington and
western Oregon where patchy fog is expected to start the
day. It will be cloudy and cool in much of the Northeast.
