NATIONAL SUMMARY
A strengthening storm will move from the Rockies into the
High Plains tomorrow, bringing a variety of weather with it.
Periods of rain are expected from eastern Montana through
North Dakota and into much of Minnesota and western
Wisconsin. In Montana and western North Dakota, the rain
will gradually change over to snow from west to east
tomorrow night and Saturday, and a blizzard could be ongoing
Saturday morning. Severe thunderstorms with hail, damaging
winds and isolated tornadoes are forecast to develop late in
the day and overnight from central and eastern South Dakota
to the Texas Panhandle. Even outside of precipitation and
thunderstorms, very strong winds will buffet much of the
southern Rockies and central Plains, which could be strong
enough to cause local damage.
