The Nation's Weather for Monday, June 27, 2022
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
A front draped from Maine through Texas today is expected to
bring a swath of showers and thunderstorms across the area.
Despite these storms likely remaining below severe criteria,
any shower or storm can still bring heavy downpours and
strong winds. Conditions behind the front are expected to be
cooler and less humid, leading to pleasant conditions. Much
of the aforementioned area is also expected to be dry with
the exception of extreme northern Minnesota, where there
could be a late day thunderstorm in spots. Rounds of
thunderstorms are forecast in Florida, Alabama and Georgia
in the afternoon as well. Monsoonal moisture is likely to
continue to bring afternoon thunderstorms for Arizona, New
Mexico, Utah and Colorado. Heat will persist across the
Northwest and Southwest.
