The Nation's Weather for Saturday, September 17, 2022
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
Severe thunderstorms could develop tomorrow from central
Iowa to far northeastern Kansas, bringing heavy downpours
and damaging winds. Additional spotty thunderstorms will
extend through mainly western parts of the Great Lakes
region, perhaps getting into the northern tip of Michigan's
Lower Peninsula by the end of the day. The Northeast, much
of the southern Plains and even parts of the Southeast will
continue to be dry with another rather pleasant day expected
for many, but with an old front still in place along the
Gulf Coast, yet another round of heavy thunderstorms will
drench Florida. In the West, an approaching storm will lead
to increased shower activity in Oregon as thundershowers
develop, especially in Idaho and Wyoming.
