Residential Burglary

Seals filed with the Secretary of State’s Office at the State Capitol Jackson. District 26 includes parts of Coahoma, Bolivar, and Sunflower counties. Seals, left, is with State Rep. Greg Haney of District 118 who has some family in the Clarksdale area. The election on Nov. 4 is a result of Orlando Paden resigning from the position to be the Mayor of Clarksdale.

Sunflower Festival Aug. 7-10

The Sunflower River Blues & Gospel Festival is set to begin tonight (Thursday, Aug. 7) and run through Aug. 10.
Musicians will play at the Grits, Greens & BBQ VIP Party beginning at 7 p.m. tonight and at the Main Stage: Delta Blues Museum Stage beginning at 7 p.m. Aug. 8.
