A 48-year-old man was jailed after he apparently led police on a car and foot chase on Tuesday night, Feb. 5.
Flindale Torail Williams was charged with felony fleeing in a motor vehicle.
The car chase began around 8:29 p.m. on Feb. 5 when an officer with the Clarksdale Police Department attempted to stop a vehicle that was traveling east in the west-bound lane on North State Street. After an extensive pursuit, the vehicle turned onto Hopson Pixley Road where the driver lost control and wrecked.
After a brief foot chase, officers took Williams into custody.
Williams was placed in the Coahoma County Jail. He made his initial appearance in Clarksdale Municipal Court on Thursday, Feb. 7.
