A 32-year-old woman appeared in Clarksdale Municipal Court on Thursday, accused of stealing a motor vehicle from Clarksdale in early December.
Victoria Williams made her initial appearance before Judge Derek Hopson in Clarksdale Municipal Court as she faced several charges in relation to the stolen vehicle, which was first reported to the Clarksdale Police Department on Dec. 4.
After an affidavit was signed stating that Williams had taken the vehicle, she was entered into the National Crime Information Center database as a wanted person.
Williams was arrested in the reported stolen vehicle on Dec. 19 in Memphis, Tenn. She was taken into custody by the Memphis Police Department, where she was booked on several charges and held for the Clarksdale Police Department.
On Wednesday, Jan. 30, Williams waived her extradition and she was transported back to Clarksdale where she was processed and booked in the Coahoma County Jail.
