Barbara Rappaport Levine, 79, of Clarksdale, died Feb. 11, 2020, in Cleveland. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Mar. 6, 2020 at the Clarksdale Jewish Cemetery.
Ms. Levine was the original owner of Toy Town in Clarksdale. After her parents took over the toy store, Ms. Levine spent many years in Texas, Maryland and New Mexico, but eventually returned to her roots in the Mississippi Delta.
Ms. Levine leaves behind a son, Michael Saripkin, of Sardis; daughters, Michelle Crowder, Albuquerque, N.M., Laurie Martin (Mike), Corrales, N.M., and Robin Hogan, Valley Mills, Texas. She also leaves behind four grandchildren, Dustin Dugger, Mark Crowder, Tyler and Marissa Duran, along with two great-grandchildren, Dakota and Dallas Dugger. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Rowena Rappaport.
A special thank you to all of the staff at Cleveland Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Cleveland, and her hospice nurse Kristi, along with Tiffany, her daily dose of cheer.
