Davaline Taylor Walker passed away on Thursday, March 5, 2020 at age 50, at her residence in Hiram, Ga. She was born on June 28, 1969 in Clarksdale to David Taylor and Hattie Taylor. She attended Coahoma Community College, University of Mississippi, Bellevue University of Omaha, Ne., and received BS and MBA degrees.
Davaline and Timmy Walker were married on June 23, 2003 and one daughter, Jasmin Walker, was added to this union.
Davaline was a homemaker, and a pastor’s wife. She was a wonderful and beloved mother and friend.
Davaline was preceded in death by her father, paternal and maternal grandparents. She is survived by her husband, Timmy Walker, of Hiram, Ga.; one daughter, Jasmin Walker of Hiram, Ga.; mother, Hattie Taylor-Scott (Bishop T.T. Scott) of Clarksdale; seven brothers, David D. Taylor of Cheverly, Md.; Daniel Scott (Patricia) of Horn lake; Shadrach Scott (Estella) of Vance; Timothy Scott Jr. of Jackson; Lester Scott (Felita) of Laurel; Micah Scott (Jeanette) of Hattiesburg; Patrick Scott (Martha) of Biloxi; six sisters, Sherita Taylor of Riverdale, Ga.; Sharon T. Young (Titus) of Clarksdale; Deborah Valentine (Josh) of Clarksdale; Jackie Williams (Edmund) of Riverdale, Ga., Cynthia Johnson (Carl) of Hattiesburg; Tina Scott of Lithonia, Ga.; nieces, nephews, cousins, uncles, aunts and friends.
Visitation is 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, March 14 at Church of God in Christ State Headquarters, 376 Sunflower Ave., Clarksdale, MS. Funeral services are at noon with Dr. Lonnie Brown officiating. Burial is at Wright Memorial Garden, Fox Gates Road, Marks, MS. Taylor Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
