Jean Hortense Murphree, 86, a retired Cashier at Corner Market in West Helena, Ark., died Nov. 3, 2020 at Baptist Desoto Hospital. Graveside services are 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 7, 2020 at Lambert Cemetery in Lambert. Meredith-Nowell Funeral Home in Clarksdale is handling the arrangements.
Mrs. Murphree was a member of Eastern Star and Church of Nazarene.
Survivors include her daughters Gina Hail (Bill) of West Memphis, Ark. and Berean Reiff (Kevin) of Huntsville, Ala.; brother Joe Youngblood (Sandie) of Calhoun City; sister Mary Zella Walker of Salinas, Calif.; grandchildren Jennifer Spicard, Justin Mathews, Nicole Blas, Brittany Murphree and Elizabeth Murphree and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Dan H. Murphree, Sr; son Dan H. Murphree, Jr; parents Thomas Garza and Berean Lowe Youngblood and step-father Joe Youngblood, Sr.
