Jessie Pearl (Beck) Kirksey, 83, passed away Oct. 19, 2019 at Walter B. Crook Nursing Facility in Ruleville. Visitation is 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2019. Service is at 2 p.m. in Meredith-Nowell Chapel. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens. Meredith-Nowell Funeral Home in Clarksdale is handling the arrangements.
Mrs. Kirksey, formally of Alligator, was a retired factory worker and homemaker. She was born Oct. 9, 1936 and raised in Eupora. She moved to Roundaway, met and married J.D. Kirksey on Jan. 9, 1954. She was a Baptist.
She volunteered at North Delta Baptist Association helping families in need. She loved to cook and was a seamstress.
She is survived by two sons, Kimmie (Sandra) of Clarksdale and Jimmie (Renee) of Hernando; five brothers, Jimmy Beck of Benton, Bobby (Nancy) Beck of Kosciusko, Jerry Wayne (Robin) Beck of McComb, Ricky (Carol) Beck of Winona and Ronnie (Bonnie) Beck of Ackerman; three sisters, Jamie Beck Springer of Eupora, Shirley Beck Gore of Mathison and Cathy Beck (Keith) Reese of Lake Cormorant; three grandchildren, Kellie Kirksey (Fischer) Burchfield of Clarksdale, Scott (Carla) Kirksey of Clarksdale and Shondal Turner of Scottsboro, Ala.; seven great-grandchildren Zack, Josh, and Elizabeth Turner of Scottsboro, Ala., Lisa Kirksey of Tishomingo and D.J. and Ryanne Kirksey of Clarksdale and Ellie Cate Burchfield of Clarksdale; great-great grandson Zach Robinson of Tishomingo.
She was preceded in death by parents Jim-Tom and Louella Welch Beck; husband J.D. Kirksey; son James Dale Kirksey and grandson Jimmie Ryan Kirksey; brothers Calvin, Eugene and David Beck; sisters Linda Beck and Peggy Holland and numerous nieces and nephews.
