Jewel Moore Williams, 91, a homemaker, passed away Dec. 27, 2019 at her home. Visitation is 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 30, 2019 at Meredith-Nowell Funeral Home in Clarksdale. Visitation will also be 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2019, with the funeral service at 2 p.m. at Meredith-Nowell Chapel in Clarksdale with burial in the Memorial Gardens. Meredith-Nowell Funeral Home in Clarksdale, MS is handling the arrangements.
She was a founding member at the Clarksdale Church of God.
Survivors include her son Arthur Quinn "Buddy" Williams, Jr. (Detra Lynn) of Clarksdale; daughters Sylvia Jewel Tharp of Sumner, Shirley Ellis of Tupelo, Linda Goad of Isola, Charlotte Browning (Danny) of Caledonia, Martha Williams of Clarksdale, Cheryl Pugh (Jim) of Clarksdale and Debbie Alderson (Joe) of Clarksdale; brother Larry Moore (Mary) of Bastrop, Texas; 26 grandchildren; 57 great-grandchildren and nine great great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Arthur Quinn Williams and parents Dewey George and Hallie Nell Freeman Moore.
