Jim Pugh, 52, Owner/Operator of Southern Collision, passed away March 17, 2020 at Vanderbilt University Hospital in Nashville, Tenn. Visitation is 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, March 21, 2020 at Oakhurst Baptist Church in Clarksdale. Funeral services are 11 a.m. Saturday at Oakhurst Baptist Church in Clarksdale with burial in the Memorial Gardens. Due to the coronavirus, the family understands if anyone feels uncomfortable attending the service. They would like anyone to know you are welcome and also welcome to come by their house. Meredith-Nowell Funeral Home in Clarksdale is handling the arrangements.
Jim was a member of Knuckleheadz trivia group, P3 Fishing Club, Clarksdale Bass Club, Elks Lodge, Coahoma County Country Club and Clarksdale Country Club. He was an avid bowler and enjoyed church softball and cornhole. He fought the long hard battle with cancer and successfully beat it with pneumonia being his cause of death.
Survivors include his wife of 33 years Cheryl Williams Pugh; sons Trip Pugh (Brandy) of Clarksdale, MS and Hunter Pugh (Sarah Ashley) of Cleveland; daughters Mallory Pugh of Clarksdale and Emma Kathryn Pugh of Cleveland; mother Jane Thomas Pugh of Sumner; sister Donna Lee Ray (Cliff) of Sumner; grandchildren Alyssa Pugh, Kaitlyn Davis, Quinn Gullick, Chamberlynn Gullick, Elli Jo Pugh and Evie James Pugh.
He was preceded in death by his father James H. Pugh, Sr.
