Jimmy Ray Hester, 77, an Oil Mill Supervisor from Water Valley, died Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at Baptist Memorial Hospital, Oxford, MS. Burial in the Mount Carmel Cemetery, Woolfe City, Texas will be announced at a later date. Meredith Nowell Funeral Home in Clarkdale is handling the arrangements.
Jimmy loved to hunt, fish and work on tractors.
Survivors include sons James Ray Hester (Shawn) of Oklahoma City, Okla., Rickey Lee Hester (Diana) of Jonestown, Alan Painter of Jacksonville, Fla.; daughter Anita Painter Bryant of Oxford; grandchildren Natalie Blythe, Jordan Hester, Trent Hester, Blayke Hester, Kassi Hester, Braylon Hester, Jeremy Painter, Cherie Talamantes, Taylor Tidwell, Lane Tidwell, Karver Bryant; great grandchildren Dane Andrews, Mila Hester, Demi Andrews.
Preceded in death by his wives Peggy Davidson Hester and Lula Dillon Painter Hester; parents Curtis and Lahoma Jean Welch Hester.
