Milers Lafeyette Cook, Sr., 82, of Clarksdale retired from Cooper Tire in Quality Control, died Feb. 6, 2020 at his home. Visitation was 1 to 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 9, 2020 at Church of Christ in Clarksdale. Funeral services were 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 9 at Church of Christ in Clarksdale with burial in the Cook Family Cemetery in Oakland. Meredith-Nowell Funeral Home in Clarksdale is handling the arrangements.
Mr. Cook was a member of Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years Alma Haynes Cook; son Milers Cook, Jr. of Clarksdale; daughter Renee Glover of Clarksdale; brothers Bobby Cook (Sheridan) of Fairmount, Ga. and Billy Cook (Janis) of Greenwood; sister-in-law Inge Cook of Grenada and grandchildren Ryan Glover, Josh Glover (Frances) and Caleb Glover.
He was preceded in death by his parents Clyde and Mary Elizabeth "Mae" Cockrell Cook; brothers Clyde Cook, Jr., J.C. Cook, Jimmy Cook and Bradford Cook and sister Martha Ann Cook.
