Takavien West of Robinsonville, Latavius Johnson of Marks and Keith Thomas III of Coahoma recently served as junior pages for the Mississippi Senate.
Pages assist in the day-to-day operations of the Senate, generally running errands for officials and staff. West, Johnson and Thomas are pictured with Lt. Gov. Tate Reeves and Sen. Robert L. Jackson, who sponsored their visit.
West is the son of Tarvis Davis and Shaneika West and attends Tunica Middle School, Johnson is the son of Cynthia Gordon and attends Madison Shannon Palmer High School, and Thomas is the son of Keith Thomas, Sr. and Terry Thomas and attends Coahoma Early College High School.
When asked about the week, they said they enjoyed their experiences. They also enjoyed meeting new people and learning new things and were grateful for the opportunity.
