Taylor Pang, a soil conservationist with the Coahoma County Soil and Water Conservation District, shares a laugh with Anna Dulaney, of Clarksdale, on Friday.
The local conservation district was giving away some 400 trees to the community in observance of Arbor Day. The trees included white crepe myrtles, golden rain and tulip poplars.
Dulaney, who was picking up the trees with her husband, J.D., said they have planted a number of the trees provided by the conservation district at their home over the years.
Also assisting Pang were volunteer Pam Morris, who is retired from the conservation district office, and Shanna Taylor, the Mississippi State University extension agent for Coahoma County.
