Daisy Ethel Virginia Smith Boehm, 79, passed away June 16, 2020, at Baptist Desoto Hospital in Southaven. Visitation was 1 to 2 p.m. Monday June 22, 2020 at Clarksdale Baptist Church in Clarksdale. Funeral services were 2 p.m. Monday at Clarksdale Baptist Church in Clarksdale with burial in the Memorial Gardens. Meredith-Nowell Funeral Home in Clarksdale handled the arrangements.
She was a member of Clarksdale Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for a number of years. She was a also a member of Rolling Along, Prime Time and Clarksdale Chapter #115 of Eastern Star. She served as District Deputy Grand Matriarch of Eastern Star of MS for several years. She was also in W.M.U., Clarksdale Women's Club, Shrine Auxiliary and Home Demonstration. She worked at Boy Scouts of America as bookkeeper and Mississippi Employment Office until she retired.
Survivors include her nieces Angela Braswell (Gary) of Kosciusko and Wanda Phillips (John) of Hernando; nephews Rob Pearson (Lee) of Kosciusko, George Gammill (Teresa) of Marks, David Gammill (April) of Pope and Ricky Boehm, Jr. of Red Banks, Ala.; several great nieces and nephews; brother-in-law Richard Boehm of Red Banks, Ala.; sister-in-law Bettye Gammill and honorary nephew Allen Lee.
She was preceded in death by her husband Reed Boehm; parents Basil and Mary Swinney Dees Smith and sister Mary Hazel Blanton.
