SENATOBIA -- Northwest Mississippi Community College officials announced that 443 graduates have been awarded degrees and certificates for the Fall 2024 semester.
Degrees were officially conferred by Dr. Michael Heindl, Northwest president, on Friday Dec. 13 2024, during the college's 117th Commencement.
Fall 2024 Graduates included:
• Ambrielle Allen of Lyon.
• Avery Allen of Lyon.
• Celiyah Hilson of Lambert.
• Alaijha Johnson of Clarksdale.
• Muriel Meeks of Lyon.
• Justin Pollard of Clarksdale.
• Tekeria Presley of Sledge.
• Keisha Prymer of Marks.
• Antonio Prymer Jr. of Marks.
• Alana Tackett of Marks.
Mississippi Attorney General Lynn Fitch served as commencement speaker and shared her unique insights and wisdom with the graduates. Fitch is Mississippi's 40th Attorney General and the state's first-ever female Attorney General. She was elected in January of 2020 and was re-elected in 2023. In 2022, Time magazine named her one of the 100 Most Influential People in the World, alongside many other accolades for her accomplished career.
Dr. Heindl also surprised the Honorable Fitch with her own degree via reverse transfer from the college where she started her college career many years ago.
