Leonard Henderson, a dedicated educator and former Mississippi State Representative - District 26, passed away peacefully on March 4, 2023, at the age of 78, at his home in Clarksdale, surrounded by his loving family.
He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and colleagues. A viewing will be held on Friday, March 10, from 3 to 5 p.m., followed by a family hour from 5 to 6 p.m., at Royal Funeral Home in Clarksdale. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 11, at 11 a.m. at Chapel Hill Missionary Baptist Church.
Leonard Henderson's legacy will live on through the many lives he touched and the positive impact he made on his community.
District 26 includes all of Clarksdale and most of Coahoama County and Henderson served that district in the State Legislature until 2000.
