Dear Students,
Soon the halls of Presbyterian Day School will be filled with the laughter and excitement of teachers and students beginning the 2022-2023 academic school year. As PDS brings its 52nd year of Christian education to families in the Clarksdale and surrounding area, there is much to be excited about.
We love our PDS families and are eager to welcome back both our awesome returning students as well as our wonderful new students who will experience the PDS family for the first time on August 9th. We have caring and highly qualified teachers returning who will continue to engage and grow our students. We are also super excited for new teachers who will be joining us this year, sharing their love for children and teaching.
As teachers and students, together we will fix our minds and hearts on Christ by meditating on this year’s theme verse, Matthew 22:37-40, with Love God & Love Neighbor as our theme. With our commitment to leadership training, students will continue to grow in Godly leadership skills.
How encouraging to see that growth come to fruition by sixth grade. The sixth-grade class has the task of learning these skills, and then being a part of leading a group who introduces a different skill throughout the year to the lower grades. These students WILL be change makers, not only in our school, but also in our community and beyond!
There are many school events and activities to be enjoyed. Parents and community, we invite you to join us. Thank you for your continued support. We look forward to a great year of learning at all our schools in the Clarksdale-Coahoma County area!

PDS Principal
