Robert Lawrence Hirsberg, 89, retired Owner/Operator of Hirsberg's Drug Store, passed away Friday, Feb. 9, 2024 at his home. Visitation is Sunday, Feb. 11, 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Meredith-Nowell Funeral Home in Clarksdale, Miss. Funeral services are 11 a.m., Sunday at Meredith-Nowell Chapel in Clarksdale, Miss., with burial in the Beth Israel Cemetery.

Mr. Hirsberg graduated from the University of Alabama with a Bachelor's Degree in Business. While at the University of Alabama, he was a member of Kappa Nu Fraternity.
He was past president of Friars Point Lions Club. He owned and operated Hirsberg's Drug Store in Friars Point, for over 50 years where he prided himself in taking care of his customers. He was a lifelong University of Alabama fan and was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.
Survivors include his sons Randy Hirsberg (Sheila) of Olive Branch, Miss., and Terry Hirsberg (Patti) of Mountain Brook, Ala.; daughters Lori Beth Kellar (BK) of Charlotte, N.C. and Jodi Deneve (Jeremiah) of Cary, N.C. and grandchildren Jackson Kirk, Karlin Kirk, Hudson Kirk, Sam Hirsberg, Cody Hirsberg, Destin Hirsberg, Doug Hollis, Heath Hirsberg, Laura Kellar, Katie Kellar, Auston Deneve (Mady), Ethan Deneve, Lacey Jane Deneve and Cloe Deneve; and one great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his wife Anita Karlin Hirsberg; parents Sol and Jennie Okun Hirsberg and sister Roslyn Blitz Schulwolf.
