It didn’t take long for 2014 Clarksdale High School (CHS) graduate Elgton Jenkins to find a new home after the Green Bay Packers released him on Monday.
Jenkins, a seven-year NFL veteran and two-time Pro Bowler, signed with the Cleveland Browns on Tuesday. He has a two-year, $24 million contract with $20 million guaranteed.

Coahoma County eliminated in Elite 8

The Coahoma County High School boys basketball season came to an end in the Mississippi High School Activities Association Class 3A Elite 8 with a 42-34 loss to Thomas E. Edwards High School on Friday, Feb. 27.
The game was played at Itawamba Community College.
