In their third division game, the Clarksdale High School baseball team dominated in a 16-1 win over the Greenwood Bulldogs.
Trenton Chess began the game as pitcher, and Markevious Jackson closed it out.
In the bottom of the second inning, Queston Skipper hit a triple with the bases loaded, giving the Wildcats a 6-1 lead as they didn’t look back
When asked about his team’s performance, head coach, Curtis Kemp stated,
“It’s good to see the team continuing to get better,” saic Coach Curtis Kemp. “We’re just going to take one game at a time.”
Developing as a young team with only two seniors, the Wildcats are looking to improve throughout the season and give the underclassmen experience.
Clarksdale (5-3 overall, 1-2 district) play Greenwood again Friday at 5 p.m.

Despite losing both games in their doubleheader against Indianola on Monday, the Lee Academy Colts are eager to continue the series Thursday, playing Indianola at 4 p.m.
