Smith signs with Hinds Community College

There will be many positions to fill on the Coahoma County High School football team in 2026.
Red Panthers coach Jeremiah Brassell made that declaration after senior Zechariah Smith officially signed with Hinds Community College in Raymond on National Signing Day on Wednesday.

Bill to consolidate CCC, Mississippi Delta dies in committee

House Bill 1284 that would have required the consolidation of the Coahoma Community College district into the Mississippi Delta Community College district died in the House Universities and Colleges Committee on Wednesday morning.
Prior to the bill dying in committee, District 26 State Rep. Otha Williams went on record in opposition.
