City of Clarksdale’s garbage fees increase to $42 for one can

The City of Clarksdale’s collection of garbage fees increased from $35.20 to $42 for one can beginning Oct. 13.
That is an increase of 19.32%. According to the ordinance increasing the rates, which passed on Aug. 11, the “amount of percentage increase of total revenues going to the City of Clarksdale will be 9.09%.”

Clarksdale beats Senatobia, 16-7

It was a game of ball control on both sides, but the Clarksdale Wildcats were able to execute when it mattered most.
The Wildcats, now 6-1 on the football season and 2-0 in Region 3-4A, defeated the Senatobia Warriors 16-7.
Two of the touchdown drives were a result of each side holding the ball for the vast majority of a quarter.
