The City of Clarksdale’s collection of garbage fees increased from $35.20 to $42 for one can beginning Oct. 13.
That is an increase of 19.32%. According to the ordinance increasing the rates, which passed on Aug. 11, the “amount of percentage increase of total revenues going to the City of Clarksdale will be 9.09%.”
