Tragedy does not stop BAM Fest

Delta Blues Alley Café burned down in a fire on March 21, but that did not stop its owner JeCorry Miller from putting together his annual Birthplace of American Music (BAM) Festival.
The festival was held on Saturday and is always around the Juneteenth holiday. It also coincided with Father’s Day weekend.

Sen. Jackson provides report to Rotary Club

Taxes, Medicaid, economic development and education were some of the issues District 11 State Sen. Reginald Jackson addressed as the guest speaker at the Clarksdale Rotary Club meeting at Stone Pony on Tuesday.
Jackson is in his second year as a State Senator and is the son of his predecessor Robert Jackson.
