The Tunica County Sheriff's Department has arrested a man on attempted murder charges, after he allegedly shot into a home in Tunica last week.
On Tuesday, June 11, 2024, at approximately 1:02 a.m., the Tunica County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call stating that shots had been fired into a residence located on Cotton Street in Tunica.
Upon arrival, sheriff deputies made contact with the homeowner who stated an individual had fired shots into their residence. Through the initial investigation, Martrevious Sanders, 32, of Tunica, Mississippi was developed as a suspect.
A warrant was issued and Sanders turned himself in on Friday, June 14 to the Tunica County Sheriff’s Department.
Martrevious Sanders has been charged with:
• Attempted Murder
• Conspiracy to Commit a Crime
• Shooting into a Dwelling
• Unlawful Discharge of a Firearm within a Populated Area
Sanders is being held without bond in the Tunica County Jail.
An arrest warrant has been issued for John Doe I in relation to this crime.
