Tunica Academy looks strong at jamboree, plays Hebron tonight

Tunica Academy won both of its preseason football jamboree games at DeSoto School in Helena-West Helena, Ark., Friday night.
The Blue Devils opened with a 16-0 victory against West Memphis Christian. Tunica Academy coach Daniel Sousa was the head coach at West Memphis Christian last season.

Clarksdale, Coahoma County scrimmage with Rosa Fort, Shaw tonight

Clarksdale and Coahoma County high schools are both hosting scrimmages to open the 2021 football season.
The Wildcats will be hosting Rosa Fort High School from Tunica at 7 p.m. Friday. Coahoma County will be hosting Shaw at Crumpton Field at 7 p.m. Friday.

Five local counties named disaster area after spring rains, flooding
