1. Situation Overview
A winter weather threat is expected Friday night, January 23 through Sunday, January 25, 2026, across much of Mississippi, including Coahoma County. Forecast guidance indicates the potential for freezing rain, sleet, and snow during this period. Weather conditions may vary in intensity and duration as the system evolves.
While exact timing and accumulation amounts remain uncertain, hazardous travel conditions are possible, particularly during overnight and early morning hours.
2. Current Conditions
- Temperatures are expected to drop to near or below freezing during the event period.
