A day of food, fun and gifts for the homeless and senior citizens will be held during the Martin Luther King Day of Service on Monday, Jan. 21.
The public is invited to attend the program, which will take place at 1 p.m. at the First Baptist Church at 115 Martin Luther King Blvd. in Clarksdale. The event is sponsored by the local Iota Delta Omega chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
The activities will showcase the musical heritage and talents of Delta legends with performances by invited guests, said a press release from the organization. Activities will also include games and gift card giveaways.
The afternoon will conclude with a home-cooked meal of soup, sandwiches and all the trimmings.
