The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation (MBI) is investigating an officer-involved shooting on Mississippi Gulf Coast.
Hancock County Sheriff’s Department was responding to a burglary call near 28030 Highway 603 in Kiln, Mississippi on Saturday, Dec. 10 around 7:30 a.m.
When on scene, shots were fired and the subject receive fatal injuries in this incident. The officer received no injuries.
MBI is currently assessing this critical incident and gathering evidence. Upon completing their
investigation, agents will share their findings with the Attorney General’s Office
The name of the person killed in the incident was not released and laws in the State of Mississippi prohibit releasing the name of the officer involved in the shooting.
