Police investigating 3 shooting, one at famed Crossroads

The Clarksdale Police Department responded to three shootings in a four-day span last week, including two linked to the community’s famed Crossroads.
Police have made an arrest in one of the shootings and have warrants for the arrest of two suspects believed linked to the two other shootings.

Man shot in alleged burglary

Police say a suspected burglar was shot in a southeast Clarksdale home Thursday night by the homeowner.

The Clarksdale Police Department said it was called to the 1000 block of Russwin Street, at 1:38pm on a burglary in progress.

While en route, police said their units also learned that the suspect was shot by the homeowner.

The Clarksdale Police Department is investigating an aggravated assault in Northeast Clarksdale that occurred in broad daylight Thursday.

Police were called to the 1800 block of Gregory Cove at 12:06 p.m. Thursday afternoon on a report of shots fired at a person.

Police investigate two shooting, burglaries

A man was found shot on West Second Street over the weekend and the shooting is believed to have occurred somewhere else and the victim running to West Second before he collapsed.
Officers responded to the 200 block of West Second at 11:16 a.m. Saturday after they received a report of a man being shot.
