Coahoma County High School football opens the season at West Bolivar at 7 p.m. Friday night.
The Red Panthers, a Region 3-2A school, were in the same district as the Eagles in 2018.
Coahoma County defeated West Bolivar in the second to last regular season game to help themselves get to the playoffs.
This year, West Bolivar is in a different district.
The Red Panthers are at West Tallahatchie in Week 2 before playing back-to-back home games against local rivals.
The Red Panthers and Clarksdale High School play at Crumpton Field on Sept. 6.
The Red Panthers then host Coahoma Early College High School at Crumpton Field on Thursday, Sept. 12.
