On Sunday, March 22, 2026, shortly after dark, the Coahoma County Sheriff's Office responded to a reported shooting near 1600 Sheriff Ridge Road in Friars Point, Mississippi. Upon deputies’ arrival, an additional call was received reporting a second shooting on Friars Point-Highway 61 Road, where the victims' vehicle had crashed.
