On Tuesday, December 23, 2025, the Coahoma County Sheriff’s Office responded to a reported stabbing at the Lapalla Villa Apartment Complex in Friars Point, Mississippi. Prior to deputies’ arrival, the suspect was identified as seventy-three-year-old William Henry Chatman of Friars Point, who fled the scene on foot.
